We are seeking a Certified Recovery Support Specialist to work alongside a clinician as part of the Diversion Program for a state agency. This role will involve supporting individuals with behavioral health needs referred by law enforcement, helping them access treatment and other essential services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with a clinician to provide peer support at state department/agency
  • Assist individuals referred by police officers in finding appropriate treatment and community resources.
  • Build trusting relationships with individuals in crisis and guide them through recovery support services.
  • Work closely with law enforcement officers and behavioral health professionals to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain records and documentation as required by the program.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Recovery Support Specialist certification (required).
  • Minimum two years of experience working as a peer in a recovery-focused setting.
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience working with law enforcement and crisis intervention is preferred.
  • Knowledge of treatment and service availability in Delaware.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Work Environment & Schedule:

  • On-site position
  • Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
  • No weekend work required.
