We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Success Coach to guide and support students throughout their academic journey. The Success Coach will be responsible for building meaningful relationships with a diverse student population, creating personalized action plans, and ensuring student success by removing roadblocks and providing timely, accurate information. This role requires proactive communication and engagement to support students' academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Relationships: Build strong, meaningful connections with a diverse student body to facilitate their success and encourage personal and academic growth.
  • Student Coaching: Collaborate with students to create tailored action plans that help them overcome challenges and stay on track with their academic goals.
  • Policy & Procedure Guidance: Provide students with clear, comprehensive, and timely information on university policies, procedures, and available resources.
  • Communication: Engage with students primarily via phone and email, based on their preferred contact times and methods, ensuring a personalized approach to each student’s needs.
  • Problem Resolution: Take full ownership of student matters until they are completely resolved, keeping the student informed throughout the process.
  • Monitor Progress: Continuously monitor student progress and adjust action plans as needed to ensure long-term success.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and connect with a diverse student population.
  • Ability to develop personalized coaching strategies and action plans tailored to each student's individual needs.
  • Experience working in an academic environment, particularly in student services, advising, or related fields.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in using email, phone, and other communication platforms to interact with students.
  • A problem-solver who can take ownership of student issues and guide them to resolution.
  • Familiarity with university policies, procedures, and available student resources is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Experience in academic advising, success coaching, or similar roles in higher education.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
